The effectiveness of ISTA is entirely dependent on its membership and their numbers.

The more members it has, the more powerful ISTA's voice as it represents its members and SCENAR and the international S.C.E.N.A.R. community.  The regulatory environment for new treatment modalities, which are considered outside conventional medicine, is becoming more and more restrictive in most parts of the world.  Unless therefore an organisation such as ISTA can speak from strength, it will not be in a position to influence these developments and achieve its ideal of one day making its most experienced practitioner-members formally eligible to practice anywhere in the world.

As a non-profit organisation, ISTA is dependent (currently exclusively) on income from membership fees.  It is only these fees that make it possible for ISTA to deliver the services for which it was created and as demanded by its membership.

Full membership of ISTA is open to registered S.C.E.N.A.R. therapists and practitioners only.

Currently the 4 international levels of membership are as follows -

Student

At some national levels there may be the additional category of Student, who is somebody undergoing SCENAR training with an ISTA-registered trainer, approved by the National Association, where one exists.

Associate

Associate Membership is granted on a discretionary basis to Students who have completed most of their SCENAR training and have other medical qualifications and health practitioner experience.  They can be applied to national as well as international students.  Students who are training in the healing arts for the first time are not eligible for Associate status.

Both categories can expect to have to pay the same fees applicable to Full Members in their respective countries of residence.

All members, irrespective of level, have agreed to adhere the provisions of ISTA's Code of Practice.

These four main levels of membership are defined as follows -

Full Member (M.Ista)

This is open to any practitioner who has provided documentary evidence of taking the requisite number of training courses with ISTA-Registered S.C.E.N.A.R. Trainers (IRSTs), and has taken ISTA's qualifying exams.

For an interim period, the taking of the exams has been suspended until the format has been approved at international level.

Current Fees are  (a) once-off registration fee  US $ 40.00   € 40.00   £ 25.00

                                 (b) annual membership        US $ 50.00   € 50.00   £ 70.00

National Member

National Members belong to their national S.C.E.N.A.R. organisations, where they exist.  Some national organisations permit the additional categories of Associate and Student, which denotes the level of training the person has undertaken to date.  National members require the recommendation of their national association to be eligible for ISTA-membership.

Current Fees are - please consult your national organisation who will have negotiated appropriate

                                  arrangements with ISTA.

International Members

International Members are practitioners who are able to document training with acceptable organisations and individuals or ISTA-Registered S.C.E.N.A.R. Trainers.  Usually they will be resident in countries in which no national organisation exists, or where none has been nationally accepted and formally associated with ISTA.  They are eligible for Full Member (M.Ista) status on taking an ISTA set examination or evaluation interview.  It is expected that when an ISTA associated national organisation has been formed that the International Member will join.  7 full International Members who have formed a national (or state) organisation may make application for this organisation to become affiliated to ISTA.

International Members need to have reached the standard required of ISTA Associate Members, on condition that they are committed to a progressive training programme with one or more ISTA Registered Scenar Trainers (IRST).

Current Fees are  (a) once-off registration fee  US $ 40.00   € 40.00   £ 25.00

                                 (b) annual membership        US $ 40.00   € 40.00   £ 30.00

Life Members (see below)

Nobody can apply to become an Honorary Life Member (H.Ista); this is an honour that only ISTA's Steering Committee may confer on individuals it and a number of members consider to have provided exceptional support to the development or internationalisation of S.C.E.N.A.R.

Honorary Life Members are exempt from membership fees.

Regular Life Memberships (L.Ista) may be pruchased as costs agreed from time to time.

Why Become a Member?

Here are a number of good reasons, more will be added as we go along -

(1)   S.C.E.N.A.R. is without doubt emerging as one of the most powerful healing tools in the field of energy medicine.  As this becomes more recognised, there will be those who will see their business interests threatened and will as a consequence seek to suppress S.C.E.N.A.R., often under the guise of regulatory requirements.  The S.C.E.N.A.R. community collectively needs to ready, by having prepared the ground ahead of any such action.  Besides professional pride requires that we be ready to make our case.

(2)   There are such a variety of S.C.E.N.A.R. devices, trainings, standards, results out there, that it becomes impossible to keep track of them - by creating a calm, professional environment, as offered to our members, we can bring together in one safe place the many questions, shared experiences, wishes and dreams that an international professional community inevitably will harbour.

(3)   Strength lies in numbers and cohesion.  Shared services and experiences will ultimately make each of us a better and more successful practitioner.

(4)   An internationally supported organisation becomes a powerful spokesperson in situations in which S.C.E.N.A.R. may find itself being misrepresented and needs to respond with clarity and authority.

(5)   To achieve any of the above, we need financial resources; as a non-commercial, non-profit organisation, we rely exclusively on membership fees and donations to fund everything we do.  The more members we have, the lighter the burden on the individual.

(6)   In a world dominated by the quest for profit, the motive of an individual and organisation will always be examined in that light.  By being non-profit and non-commercial, ISTA will be able to present the position of S.C.E.N.A.R. and its members with an integrity not normally ascribed to commercially motivated parties.

(7)   Lastly, varying from country to country, ISTA membership offers some or all the benefits in a growing list of membership benefits.  As members identify additional needs, ISTA will always try and provide.

Membership Benefits

The benefits offered ISTA members currently included the following (benefits and services will vary from country to country and region to region) -

Probably the greatest benefit of ISTA Membership is to know that wherever in the world you are, you belong to a community of dedicated healthcare professionals who are only a few clicks away and in a private section of this Website.  You can turn to this community and ISTA experienced advisory board at any time you have a question or wish to discuss issues.

Our forum will also give you an opportunity to obtain the opinion of several peope simultaneously, and possibly incorporating other treatment modalities too.

We intend in due course to offer you the opportunity of automatically knowing who of this international community is available on the internet at time you switch on.  Internet conference calls and workshops are only a few months away.

Please check for national conditions and services that may be posted under National Organisations.
