Appendix a - national variations to CODE

For a variety of reasons, not least national legislation and practice, there will be variations required to ISTA's Code of Practice.

These variations are shown here, in alphabetical country order -

Ref. Clauses 2.6 & 2.7   

         "Minor" for purposes of this Code shall be defined as anybody under the age of 18.

Ref. Clause 3.7     

         The UK National Chapter has elected for all its Registered Practitioners to be direct members of

         ISTA.

Ref. Clause 4.6    

        For purposes of ISTA's group insurance, medical qualifications in the UK and Ireland  are defined

        as MD, osteopath, chiropractor and physiotherapist.

        Notifiable Diseases (for England & Wales ) are currently acute encephalitis : acute
