NOTES on ISTA's Website

Thanks for visiting.

This site is far from being complete.  To achieve this, we require the active collaboration of the global S.C.E.N.A.R. community.  Please provide data and details of how to contact people and organisations who should in your view appear on this website.

If, in getting to this stage, we have made some mistakes in our entries, please accept our apologies and provide your suggested corrections and contributions as quickly as possible.  We promise to make corrections, or flag that the entry is being challenged, within 24 hours of receipt of your notification.

To get the most from this site, please read the following notes.

To help make this site more useful for future visitors, please let us know what additional information you would have liked to find here, and please rate the site by completing our Website Feedback Form.

Important Notice

We are a young organisation and we are international.  This means that many of the areas covered by this Website are still incomplete and await final agreement amongst our members (for example, we are working on reaching international agreement on a professional exam for S.C.E.N.A.R. therapists that will apply internationally; similarly we are working on the certification of trainers; etc.).

With the help of our members, and all those who come constructively and in peace, we will continue to build and create.  Wherever in this Website text is marked in red, and underlined, this denotes something that still lies in the future; for the present, interim arrangements will apply.

Use of "Scenar" or "SCENAR" and "S.C.E.N.A.R."

We use these different references throughout the Website in order to reflect one of the following -

Scenar or SCENAR  -  this refers to the original Russian development of this technology, by those whose

names appear on the original Russian patent.  Subsequently, certain individuals or

organisations, with or without the express approval of the Russian patent holders,

have registered this generic name as their trademark.   Where we are aware of

specific branding under this name, we use the all upper-case version (except where

in titles all words are in upper case); where we are making reference to the generic

technology, we use the lower-case version.

S.C.E.N.A.R.              -  every technology evolves and new variations on the original theme emerge, and with

them new names and variations in application techniques : it is where we are

addressing the now expanded family of scenar devices and practitioners, that we

use this version of the word.  ISTA exists to support all variaties of technology and

devices that are based on "self-controlling energo-neuro-adaptive regulation"

                                        technology.

National Variations

Please accept that for a number of reasons, and in celebration of variety, ISTA does not seek, or attempt to influence, standardisation in the application of S.C.E.N.A.R.  All ISTA aims for, is to offer those, who seek help from S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioners anywhere, guidance on what to expect and on whether the practitioners available in their locality have reached the standards of training and practice that in the eyes of the international S.C.E.N.A.R. communicy will enable them to provide the full range of healing contained in the technology itself.  Therefore, please ensure that you study the guidelines applying to the country in which you will be seeking support from a S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioner.

"Patients" v. "Clients"

In common with many complementary and alternative medical practices, S.C.E.N.A.R. is based on a participatory healing process.  This means that the patient will not only need to want to get well, but is invited to become an active participant in the healing process.  This is done by the patient finding out all there is about their disease; by exploring the variety of treatment methods available; by considering carefully which ones appeal most; and then, by using the best resources available, the patient seeks out a practitioner in whom they have confidence and wish to enter into a healing partnership.

To differentiate between this participatory process and the conventional one in which the patient in passive blind faith surrenders to the ministrations of a medical doctor, we call the first a "client" and the second "patient".

This is not to suggest that somebody who still thinks like a "patient"  cannot receive succressful treatment from S.C.E.N.A.R. - far from it, results from around the world show consistently that breakthrough changes occur with "patients" and "clients" alike.  It is in the longer term that a "client", who will have developed an awareness of what shapes health, will stand a better chance of maintaining their health.

Site Structure

Please note that there are 2 sections to this site, one for the global general public; the other, the professional section, is for S.C.E.N.A.R. therapists, users and those who have registered as Friends of ISTA and have qualified for access to this section.

Mutual Respect

We are a polite, professional community and request that all correspondents respect this.  We welcome varieties of views and expression, and firmly believe that differences, no matter how great, encourage dynamic exchange and help progress - if calmness and reason are allowed to prevail.  This website is S.C.E.N.A.R.'s neutral zone.
