UNITED KINGDOM ISTA CHAPTER INFORMATION
Therapist Fees ISTA is regularly asked what the fees UK therapists charge are. First, it is important to appreciate that ISTA does not regulate what its members charge. Second, those who consult any health practitioner, need to remain aware not only of the cost of training that each practitioner incurs before acquiring their range of skills and which make them eligible for ISTA-registration; plus their fixed practice overheads, which will vary from location to location. A London, or large-town, based practitice is likely to face greater fixed overheads. A medical doctor who also offers S.C.E.N.A.R. therapy, or a multi-disciplined CAM practitioner, will be offering a more widely integrate level of service and may therefore charge higher fees. It is therefore very difficult to provide a full chart of therapist's charges. The following is therefore only an indication of the range of fees a UK S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioner-therapist may charge. Enquire early what the costs of a practitioner you wish to enrol with are. Some practitioners offer a reduced package for treatments that might extend over long periods. London / city based therapists First Consultation £65 - £85 Future Consultations £30 - £60 each. County-located therapists First Consultation £50 - £70 Future Consultations £25 - £50 each.
Membership Information UK Practitioners have opted for direct individual membership of ISTA. Current fees for each category of membership for UK resident S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioners are as follows - Once off Registration Fee £25.00 Annual Fees for Students £70.00 Associate Members £70.00 Full Members £70.00 All levels of ISTA membership are eligible for ISTA UK Group Insurance. Click for full UK membership details.
Steering Committee The UK Steering Committee currently consists of - Camilla Ker (Hon. Membership Secretary) Adriana Marian (Dr. Rom) Cathy Thomas Roy Watson
ManagementThe day-to-day management of ISTA has been delegated to an Executive Director, currently Peter Rae. The Executive Director reports to the Steering Committees, arranges and attends all Steering Committee meetings, but normally does not vote on issues, unless a tie occurs. Most Committee consultations take place via e-mail and telephone. The day-to-day interaction between the Steering Committees and Management occurs via e-mails and telephone concersations, backed up by periodic physical meetings, proceedings of which are minuted and filed. The Executive Director and his team are responsible for the information flow between all members, including the development and maintenance of this Website.
South Coast Scenar Days Members Flora Azulay and Peter Marsh are arranging, under the ISTA Network banner, 1-day get togethers for Scenar practitioners of all persuasion and levels of experience. Those located in the South West and along the South Coast will most likely wish to attend, although under ISTA Network rules the events are open to anybody in possession of a Scenar device. Each event starts at 10 a.m. and continues until ..... whenever. The charges for these events are intended to cover the cost of providing food and drink and include a contribution to ISTA's running costs, typically these charges for the day are £15 for members and £20 for non-members (or whatever local conditions warrant). Organisers do not make a profit from these events. The first event takes place on Monday 24th April, 2004 in Christchurch, Dorset; to help with catering, please advise Peter or Mary Marsh by Friday 21st if you plan to attend - tel. 01202 48 0074 and e-mail - stepping.stones17@btinternet.com. Address details and directions will be provided at the time of registering your attendance. Coincidentally, on the evening of Monday 24th a talk on Scenar will be given at a Bournemouth local group by local practitioner, a non-ISTA member - nevertheless, several of those coming to the day's Network event are planning to support this initiative by attending that evening. |
