IRELANDIreland has its own practitioner society, the S.C.E.N.A.R. Practitioner Society of Ireland (SPSI). It sponsors the Irish College of S.C.E.N.A.R., which runs a 5-stage training programme for practitioners, which lasts around 18 months. This is probably the most comprehensive training programme currently on offer anywhere outside Russia, the Ukraine and Bulgaria. Irish S.C.E.N.A.R. Practitioners, who are members of SPSI, are considered to have met ISTA requirements and are thus eligible, on recommendation of SPSI, for direct membership of ISTA, entitled, on reaching that level of training, to use the abbreviation "M.Ista" after their name. SPSI has been a founder-member of ISTA and has a permanent representative on the ISTA Executive Committee; this representative is at present Mr John Garvey, M.Ista RSPSI-T Visit the SPSI site.
