NATIONAL ORGANISATIONS
The following current either exist or are in formation - Bulgaria | Ireland | Russia | United Kingdom | Ukraine I Canada | USA | Australia |
Each national organisation is an independently administered unit; those that have registered with ISTA as corporate members, have accepted to adhere, and require their members to adhere, to ISTA's Code of Practice for Practitioners. Some countries will have advised ISTA of their inability to adhere to the full provisions of the Code, where this has happened, Appendix A of the Code will list these variations. Adherence to ISTA's Code will be additional to the requirements of any national organisation or local legal requirements and professional practice. You are advised to visit the website of each of ISTA's national organisations in order to see what their requirements of their members are. Note that some national organisations' members are also direct members of ISTA (denoted by M.Ista after their names), whereas others are members of their national organisations only. This differentiation in membership status does not reflect their respective skills or training levels, but rather reflects the preferences of each national organisation, which is entirely at liberty to determine national policy. 4 categories of membership are currently possible - 1-a virtual national association, which sees its members as belonging directly to ISTA (UK) 2-a national organisation, whose members are also ISTA members (Ireland) 3-a national organisation, which is a corporate member of ISTA, but whose members are not directly members of ISTA (but are eligible to apply) (Bulgaria) 4-international membership - suitably qualified individuals who are resident in a country that has not yet formed an ISTA-endorsed association or chapter. Practitioners in Russia and the Ukraine who have reached suitable levels of training should note that in recognition of their thorough training and vast expertise in S.C.E.N.A.R. they are eligible for membership to ISTA on simple recommendation by one of the senior trainers recognised by ISTA in these 2 countries. For the period to December 2005, direct ISTA membership from these two pioneering countries are available on terms to be agreed. Countries that do not yet have a national organisation are invited to adopt the interim approach which permits 7 Scenar practitioners, who need to be eligible for ISTA membership, to seek application to become the ISTA-endorsed national organisation for their country and appoint a representative to the ISTA Steering Committee. Please contact us if you wish to adopt this route before seeking formal registration as a professional association in your home country. Any such association, whether an informal interim association of 7 ISTA registered Scenar practitioners, or a formally incorporated body, is required to be non-profit and open to any practitioner appropriately trained in the use of SCENAR-Technology based devices. In view of the diversity of regulations affecting healing professionals in the individual States of the Union in the USA, consideration will be given to applications for single-state and / or multi-state associations, providing that collectively these associations will exercise one US vote on ISTA's Steering Committee. Any US national organisation will be required to incorporate permission for state-based chapters to be established.
