Description of ISTA & ITS ROLE

ISTA is a professional association launched in Bulgaria in September 2003. 150 S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioners representing 20 nations signed its launch declaration, which stated that ISTA -

  • is an international forum, which exists to serve the needs of S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioners, its global family of members and the general public
  • provides, through its Website, information services to the general public, S.C.E.N.A.R. practitioners, its members and its friends
  • provides an exchange for scientific and medical papers, research and discussion
  • offers membership to professional individuals as well as national organizations
  • is a neutral platform establishing guidelines on common professional standards of training, practice and nomenclature

  • exists to encourage the dynamic exchange of information
  • facilitates international contacts and exchanges
  • assists members in locating specific treatment modalities for their patients
  • aims to honour the Russian roots and philosophy of S.C.E.N.A.R. therapy
  • is a non-profit, self-regulatory, professional organization run by officials elected or appointed by the membership for the specific purpose of representing the interests, world-wide, of S.C.E.N.A.R. and registered therapists

ISTA seeks to reflect the dynamic nature of S.C.E.N.A.R. by accepting that, as time goes by, a variety of devices and treatment modalities will emerge in the field of S.C.E.N.A.R. - its original inventor expects the same and welcomes it.  ISTA exists to provide the platform on which these developments can be presented and defended in public, so that all involved can be assured that each new development and modification arises from either genuine clinical experience or a well-argued professional hypothesis, rather than any hidden commercial or other non-medical motive.

TENS preceded S.C.E.N.A.R., its inventor states that COSMODIC now supercedes S.C.E.N.A.R.  Due to lack of information and feedback on this new series of SCENAR-derrived devices, ISTA is currently not in a position to take a view on the latter. However, via the pages of this site's members-only section we invite all those who have experiences with any S.C.E.N.A.R. device, or have developed their own successful treatment protocols, to present these to the professional SCENAR community for discussion and trials.

Indisputably however, the centre of experience and decades-long history of successes with S.C.E.N.A.R. remains in Russia and the Ukraine.  It is their models of training and treatment protocols that provide the guide-lines against which all variations will need to be measured, at least until such time that a greater body of knowledge and success is developed, or demonstrated, elsewhere.

Founding Members' Wishlist

At the time of the formal launch of ISTA, the 150 founding members were asked (a) what they wanted ISTA to be or provide, and (b) what they wanted ISTA's Website to offer; the following charts illustrate their collective answers.  At suitable intervals we revert to our members to ask how well they believe we have dealt with these requirements and seek any new inputs they may have.
